Microsoft Word Macro Collection from trans-k

From time to time, I write or record a simple macro to help me in my work. I have compiled a few of these in a Word template file, complete with a toolbar, menu and instructions for installing and using them. As far as I know, they work with all versions of Microsoft Word from 6 upwards.

Here is a list of the macros and a brief description of what each one does. Feel free to download and try them. If you find them useful, I would be pleased to hear from you.

Macro	Description
CutNextWord CutPreviousWord	Perform the same function as the keystrokes Ctrl+Del and Ctrl+Backspace – deleting the word to the right or left of the cursor respectively – but also copy the word to the clipboard.
FileOpen	Changes the default file type in the Open dialog to All (.) instead of the usual Word Documents (*.doc).
HorizScrollbar	Toggles the horizontal scrollbar on and off.
HTMLMark	Helps to identify the different elements of an HTML file by changing the text colours of different elements.
InsertHTMLCode	Places characters < and > at the insertion point and puts the cursor between them.
LanguageGerman LanguageEnglishUK LanguageEnglishUS	Format text to German, British English and US English respectively for spell-checking.
LoadTW4Win	Loads a template (in this case for Translator's Workbench) in Word.
ParenthesesSelection	Places parentheses around the current selection. If no selection is made, the parentheses are placed around the word in which the cursor is located.
ParenthesesWord	Places parentheses around the word in which the cursor is located.
PasteUnformatted	Pastes text without its formatting.
QuickMarkSet QuickMarkGoto	Places a bookmark at the insertion point and jumps back to the bookmark from any point in the document respectively.
QuotesGerman QuotesEnglish QuotesStraight	Change English typographic quotes to German ones, German ones to English ones and English and German typographic ones to straight ones.
ShowPartialDetails ShowNoDetails ShowHidden	Displays or hides all nonprinting characters (hidden text, paragraph marks, etc.) except spaces, which remain hidden.
